VegFund welcomes four new staff members to our team…
and wishes a fond farewell to two
Paired with VegFund’s growth trajectory this past year, we’ve welcomed several talented staff members to our team this spring to help us better support your great work. Read their full bios here.
Mikki Wilburn, Program Specialist
Mikki joined our Programs team in March to review and administer community grants, ensure the quality of our grant programs, and apply her analytical wisdom to bring meaning to our data.
Estella Ramirez, Communications Associate
VegFund was delighted to bring the talented Estella Ramirez onboard this spring as part of the Communications team. Estella applies her creative writing skills to story development and blog creation, and she assists with the website and all manner of communications work.
Patrick Liddy, Social Media Specialist
Patrick recently joined our Marketing group to breath new life into our social media outreach — all the better to stay in touch with our fabulous grantees and share new developments at VegFund. We are excited to tap into his broad base of experience in digital marketing.
Kaela Elias, Communications Intern
Kaela, a recent graduate of Oberlin College, joined VegFund in February. She supports our communications work with website updates, content development, and welcomed assistance on a variety of projects.
And… we say a fond farewell to two valued members of our staff.
After five years at the helm of VegFund’s grant-making, Amanda Riley left VegFund on May 1. Most of VegFund’s thousands of grants have passed through Amanda’s desk at one point, and our many grantees counted on Amanda as their primary contact for receiving grant support that makes their activism possible. We’re grateful for Amanda’s contributions to the organization, her stellar attention to detail, and her steadfast legacy as the organization has gone through significant changes and growth. We’re also excited for her next chapter — pursuing her songwriting and performing full-time. (Keep in touch with her musical career here!) Thank you Amanda, and all the best!
Sally joined VegFund officially in 2015 and before that was a VegFund intern and grantee! She kept our communications work moving forward from the UK with her keen insights and years of dedication to vegan causes. From content creation to social media support, if it was communicated from VegFund, you can guarantee that Sally had a hand in it. She is an active animal advocate in both voluntary and paid capacities — spanning grassroots community action to online communications work with organizations including Veganuary and We Animals. We wish you great successes in your ongoing work for animals.
We miss you both!
