VegFund Announces New Director of Development
VegFund welcomes Alison Miller
We are pleased to announce that, as of July of 2019, Alison Miller has joined VegFund to be our first director of development. Most recently, she served as chief development officer for Special Olympics Michigan, and she comes to us with a diverse background in fund development and wealth management. Learn more about Alison here. We’re delighted to have her on board!
VegFund’s community continues to grow across the world. The number of activists we support through grants for local vegan outreach and education has increased, and the profile of individuals and organizations who are seeking grant assistance has expanded. For example, in the last two years, VegFund has experienced a surge in grant requests from activists who educate the public about the benefits of plant-based diets for the environment and human health.
Alison seeks contributing partners — individuals, foundations, and other philanthropies — to help us build upon VegFund’s global connections with 6,000-plus vegan advocates in more than 30 countries. Our diverse, global network of activists puts VegFund in an enviable spot to draw insights from our grantee community, share these insights broadly, and improve the effectiveness of outreach.
If direct community activism is not in your plans right now, we invite you to partner with us as a financial activist. Your financial sponsorship will help amplify the world’s largest vegan outreach network of animal rights, environmental, and human health and wellness activists. We encourage you to contact Alison at alison@vegfund.org and join us in shaping a kind, generous, and peaceful vegan world.
