Notable NYC-based public servant Eric Adams will discuss his new book, Healthy at Last: A Plant-Based Approach to Preventing and Reversing Diabetes and Other Chronic Illnesses. Adams' mission is to tackle one of the most stubborn chronic diseases in the nation, particularly in the African-American community — diabetes. African-Americans are on average heavier and sicker than other groups in America, but this can change with diet. The event is free, with a suggested donation of $25.
