Food For Life: Power Foods for the Brain – Online

What you eat and how you live can help protect your brain health as you age. This class will enlighten participants about the foods and nutrients to prioritize in their diet for optimal brain health. The class features a discussion of the research supporting a low-fat, plant-based diet for maintaining brain function and minimizing the risk for cognitive decline. Enjoy a cooking demonstration of delicious recipes made from a selection of “Power Foods” for the brain and receive educational materials including handouts of recipes to prepare at home. Food For Life (FFL) is a cooking and nutrition education program of the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine. This evidence-based program was created by physicians, diabetes educators, dieticians, and professional chefs to translate complex nutrition information into easy meals designed to promote health and fight disease.
