Food for Life: Foods for a Healthy Heart – Online

This class will provide you with knowledge and practical skills to take action to boost your heart health through simple diet and lifestyle choices. We will discuss cardiovascular risk factors such as high blood pressure, high cholesterol, and inflammation, as well as dietary strategies that can improve or even reverse these conditions. The class features a cooking demonstration of delicious, healthy, plant-based dishes as well as educational handouts including easy recipes to try at home. Food For Life (FFL) is a cooking and nutrition education program of the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine. This evidence-based program was created by physicians, diabetes educators, dieticians, and professional chefs to translate complex nutrition information into easy meals that promote health and fight disease.
