Faunalytics
This exploratory study of people in the “BRIC” countries – Brazil, Russia, India, and China – plus the United States, examines the attitudinal and behavioral differences toward farmed animal welfare in a group of countries that are among those consuming the most animal products.
The survey results from this study provide insights into the following key areas:
- current meat consumption,
- recent changes in meat consumption,
- support for policies to improve farmed animal welfare,
- attitudes and perceived norms about the importance of farmed animal welfare,
- and beliefs about the impact of consuming meat.
This informative resource includes a full country comparison report, detailed reports for each individual country, and a useful infographic summarizing the study findings.
Faunalytics notes that the key findings from this study help to establish a baseline for our understanding of attitudes and behaviors in the “BRIC” nations, and can be used to inform and target our advocacy efforts more effectively in these countries.
