VegFund Grantee Martin Rowe Presents “Beyond the Impossible” to EU Audience
We are pleased to announce that VegFund grantee Martin Rowe will present his paper, “Beyond the Impossible: The Futures of Plant-Based and Cellular Meats,” at the conference Embracing a Better Future – Nourishing Europe. The conference will take place on March 4 at the European Parliament in Brussels. Rowe will be one of several expert speakers, including keynote speaker Dr. Jane Goodall. You can register here for tickets to attend the conference.
Rowe’s paper examines the role of various industries in tackling animal suffering, environmental catastrophe, and climate change. The paper is part of the Vegan America Project, which received support from a VegFund grant. Under the supervision of Brighter Green, the Vegan America Project uses veganism as a lens through which to examine complex issues related to climate change. Rowe is a senior fellow at Brighter Green, a public policy action tank that works to raise awareness of and encourage policy action on issues that span the environment, animals, and sustainability. He also serves as president of Lantern Publishing & Media and co-vice president of the Culture & Animals Foundation.
