Grant Applications Will Be Paused August 14 – September 28
Update, 15 September 2020: Applications reopen on September 28.
In our effort to best serve you, we are adopting a new grant management system to accept and review applications. As part of the transition to the new system, we will pause our applications beginning August 14, 2020, and reopen applications on September 28, 2020.
What does this mean?
If you were a VegFund grantee before 2018, you may remember when we switched from our previous grant management system to our current one, FluidReview. While none of us asked for another transition, this switch is a positive one.
Back in March, FluidReview let us know that they would be closing down their system by the end of 2020. We took the opportunity to review several platforms, and we’re confident that Zengine is the grant management system that best serves your needs as well as ours. Zengine is more intuitive to use and will help reduce uncertainty and unnecessary steps in the application and reporting process.
Will I need to enter all my information again?
No! Our number one goal in this transition is to make the process as smooth as possible for you. We will import all your data from FluidReview, including your applicant profile and past grant information. On September 28th, you will receive an email from VegFund inviting you to reset your password and log in to the new system.
What if I need funding during the pause?
We’ve never paused our grant cycle before, and we understand that many of our grantees rely on our funding to be relatively quick. That’s why we chose to pause our grant cycle during the time of year that tends to be slower for grant activities. We are also taking advantage of the natural slowdown in grant requests due to COVID-19. If you had planned to seek funding between August 14 and September 28, please submit your application as soon as possible or reach out to us directly with questions or concerns. We’re willing to work with you to make sure that your needs are met during this transition.
What if I need to submit my reimbursement report during the pause?
If you’re due to submit your reimbursement report between August 14 and September 28, we’ll reach out to you and send instructions as we get closer to the date. You will not be penalized for submitting your report late.
We’ll keep you updated as the implementation progresses. Please don’t hesitate to contact us if you have questions.
Thanks for your patience and understanding!
