September 8, 2019

10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
This year, Estação Cultura, a building known for hosting cultural events, will host Vegan Day Campinas, a vegan festival organized by the Brazilian Vegetarian Society. The free event will feature 45 vegan exhibitors from the food, health, personal care, crafts, fashion, and decoration industries.
The fair will show the public that the vegan universe is vast — going well beyond eating salads — and that it is possible to live free from the animal exploitation market.
We will also have health talks with members of the medical profession, as well as nutritionists and digital vegan influencers who will discuss the myths related to food and vegan life.
There will be family-friendly music, yoga, and children’s entertainment. There will also be an impressive presentation from the group “Anonimous for the Voicelles”.
The Brazilian Vegetarian Society, together with Mercy for Animals, will provide information about veganism, addressing animal exploitation and the impacts of this choice on the environment and human health.
In April 2018, a survey commissioned by SBV found that 14% of the Brazilian population declared themselves vegetarian, representing a 75% growth compared to 2012. We want the vegan lifestyle to continue to grow.
