5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Join Hog Haven Farm and Emmy-Award winning director Allison Argo for an exclusive screening of The Last Pig at LFX Filmworks in Denver! Through this personal journey, The Last Pig raises crucial questions about equality, the value of compassion, and the sanctity of life. Comis’ soul-bearing narrative carries us through his final year of farming pigs, the struggle to reinvent his life, and the ghosts that will haunt him forever. It is our hope that The Last Pig will help propel a shift in our society’s relationship to non-human beings and our capacity for compassion.
This screening will raise awareness about pigs as well as raise needed funds for the rescued pigs at Hog Haven Farm. To benefit Hog Haven Farm, there will be a silent auction, craft beers, and exclusive apparel available for purchase on site. A vegan food truck will be on site, offering delicious food for purchase throughout the duration of the event. Following the film screening, Allison Argo will be available for Q&A with the audience, and there will be a meet-and-greet with two of the rescued pigs calling Hog Haven Farm their home — Felix, a loving Meishan, and Guapo, a potbellied pig!
