Leilani Münter – Professional Race Car Driver and Environmental Activist
University of Georgia Miller Learning Center, Room 102 in Athens, Georgia, United States.
Named the #1 Eco Athlete in the world by Discovery’s Planet Green and one of the top 10 female race car drivers in the world by Sports Illustrated, Leilani Münter is an advocate for renewable energy, solar power, electric cars, plant-based diet, and animal rights. Leilani is active in lobbying for these causes and has been a guest at the White House and the United Nations. Leilani is on the board of the Oceanic Preservation Society, a nonprofit that creates films that inspire people to save the oceans. Leilani’s motto is “Never underestimate a vegan hippie chick with a race car.”
Leilani’s talk, “We Are Racing Extinction,” will serve as a powerful lesson to consider our impact on other species and the Earth as a whole.
