This class will focus on helping women with cramps, premenstrual syndrome (PMS), and menopause symptoms such as hot flashes, unpredictable emotions, changes in sexual function, and memory fog. The information presented is based on Dr. Neal Barnard’s book Your Body in Balance: The New Science of Food, Hormones, and Health, which explains the latest research and offers a new approach to treating, preventing, and even curing many of the most common and persistent health problems. But we will also take it a step further and show you how to prepare easy meals using the principles from the book.
This class includes cooking demonstrations, recipes, meal planning and nutrition handouts, and an opportunity to ask questions of a seasoned vegan instructor and to get support from other people making healthy changes.
