Learn how food and nutrients work to promote or discourage cancer along with simple recipes that can be made at home. Join Food for Life Instructor Melisa Oliva for these insightful classes on how to fight and prevent cancer. With her experience as a health and wellness coach and her training as a professional chef, Melisa will guide you in these engaging and fun nutrition and cooking classes.
This 4-class series is designed for cancer survivors and their family and friends as well as those looking to prevent the disease. The classes are not intended for individuals who are currently being treated for cancer.

Fueling Up On Low-Fat, High Fiber Foods: April 13th
Discovering Dairy and Meat Alternatives: April 20th
Cancer-Fighting Compounds and Healthy Weight Control: April 27th
Each class will be hosted live online, without recording. Each session will feature a video, discussion, and plant-based cooking demonstrations.
Melisa Oliva is Latina woman, National Board for Health and Wellness certified coach, and a professional chef who studied whole-food, plant-based nutrition with the T. Colin Campbell Center for Nutritional Studies and eCornell. She is licensed as a Food for Life instructor by The Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine.
