Poor diet and lack of exercise put today’s children at greater risk for heart disease, diabetes, and cancer later in life. A foundation for healthy eating is needed to lessen the risk for chronic diseases. In this hands-on cooking camp kids ages 6-12 will learn the positives of the four food groups (whole grains, legumes, fruits, and vegetables) in the Power Plate and how to cook some healthy recipes.
Class topics: Bang-up Breakfasts (6/1); In-between Meals and Sweeter Deals (6/2); Rainbow Lunches (6/3); Digging These Dinners (6/4). Sign up for all sessions at $50, or each one individually at $20 per class, plus a $10.00 food supply fee payable to the instructor in class.
The 6-digit activity number to use to search for and enroll in this camp is 358001.
