In this time of global environmental crisis, animal exploitation is increasingly mentioned as a key driver of climate change. However, these discussions are mostly held from an anthropocentric worldview which focuses on reducing the consumption of animal products for the sake of the survival of humankind. This conference will introduce animal advocacy into the environmental discourse via four panels: I – activism; II – wild animals & ecofeminism; III – deep connections; IV – veganism. The conference will take place in a hybrid form both in-person and online and will be live streamed. The conference is organized by Loomus and the Estonian Vegan Society.
