The annual national Plant-based Prevention Of Disease (P-POD) Conference is an evidence-based look at how plant-based nutrition and accompanying lifestyle measures can help prevent and in many cases treat or reverse society’s major chronic diseases and major causes of death. The event, produced by a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization with no commercial funding, sponsorship, or influence, is completely open to the public but awards fully accredited continuing education credits to a wide range of health professionals. The P-POD Conference makes great effort to maintain admission prices that are more affordable than those of most professional conferences so that a broad spectrum of grassroots practitioners, students, and community-level health advocates and educators may attend. The link between compassionate, environmentally-sound lifestyles and profound societal health benefits is documented by a variety of distinguished speakers.
